Everest Flights

The Everest flights leave from Kathmandu's domestic airport between 6:00 and 8:00 am. This flight is one of the best ways you can get close to Everest and to the Himalaya. Your flight will take you by the nine major peaks near Everest including: Kanchenjunga at 8586m (28,162'), Makalu at 8463m (27,766'), Lothse at 8400m (27,940'), and Manaslu at 8165m (26,781'). There are 860 mountains over 6000m and you'll get great views of them during your flight of approximately one hour. Your flight will be low enough so that you'll be eye-level with these amazing peaks!

Many airlines offer Everest flights. The average cost (January 2013) is $176 per person. The airlines currently offering flights are Buddha Air, Yeti Airlines, Agni Air, and Guna Airlines.

Western Himalaya Flights

There are flights from Pokhara's airport that take you into the western Himalaya (Annapurna Range) and around Pokhara. There are a wide range of options from ultra-lights and helicopters to the more traditional airplanes. This range stretching from west to east includes Dhaulagiri, South Annapurna, Annapurna 1, Hiunchuli, Fish-tail (Machapuchare), Annapurna 3, Annapurna 4, and Annapurna 2. In Pokhara, the holy unclimbed mountain Macchapucchre (or also known as Fishtail Mountain), located in the middle of the Annapurna range, can be seen standing right in front of our nose. These are part of the Annapurna range which is also an area for great trekking.

As your guide I will arrange for tickets and ensure that you have transportation to and from the airport.
